December 31 is the day we rejoice over New Year’s Eve, but that wasn’t always the calendar day it was celebrated in the past years. Some 4000 years ago, the Babylonians celebrated the beginning of the New Year following the first crescent moon after the first day of Spring in respect of the earth being “reborn” following the winter months. We splurge one day in respect of the New Year, but the Babylonians’ ceremony lasted for eleven days! Even though our special events and parties probably pale as compared to the Babylonian celebrations, our New Year’s Eve party can be shimmering, beautiful, and memorable when you spruce up with LED lights.
